Jesse Cruz is beginning his first year at SMU as a Certified Athletic Trainer Intern, working with the men's and women's swimming and diving programs.
Jesse completed his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training at the University of Utah, where he gained experience working with Utah Football, various high schools, and Salt Lake Community College. During his immersive clinical experiences, he worked with San Jose State University Football and Stanford Women’s Lacrosse while also assisting with multiple other sports, including women’s soccer, softball, and men’s soccer.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Southern Utah University. During his undergraduate years, he worked in athletics all four years as a camera operator and sports medicine observation student.
Jesse is BLS certified through the American Heart Association. He was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, and lived in Utah for seven years. He now lives in Grand Prairie, Texas.
