SMU Athletics

Keyana Smith began her career at the Academic Development of Student-Athletes Center in August of 2023. Smith is the Associate Director and lead counselor for Football.

Prior to SMU, Smith worked as an Assistant Director at the University of Mississippi working with Football and Women's Basketball. Her previous stops include the University of New Mexico (MBB & SB), Utah Valley University (Mentor Program Coordinator & SB), and the University of San Antionio (MFB). Smith currently resides in Dallas.

A native of Sacramento, California, Smith received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Morgan State University in 2007 where she was a member of the softball team. She then went on to pursue her master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology from the University of North Dakota and a second master's degree in Sport Administration from the University of New Mexico. Smith is an active member of N4A and is currently the Institutional Partnership Program Co-Lead.
