Lexi Horton joined SMU in July 2022 as a Marketing Graduate Assistant and advanced to the role of Assistant Director of Marketing in February 2023.

In her current position, Lexi manages the fan experience for Volleyball and leads digital marketing efforts for multiple sports, including Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Equestrian, Track, and Golf. Additionally, she oversees the fan zones at football games and the Peruna’s Pals kids club.

Horton was part of the team that won PacNet Star of Year for 2025. 

During her time as a Graduate Assistant, Lexi served as the primary marketing contact for Volleyball, Equestrian, Swimming and Diving, Track, and Cross Country.

Before joining SMU, Lexi earned a Bachelor of Education in Sport Management from Gonzaga University in May 2022. At Gonzaga, she was the lead intern for Volleyball, as well as Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
