Makenna Tryon is the Strategic Marketing & Fan Experience Graduate Assistant for SMU Athletics. She is actively pursuing her master’s degree in Sport Management through the Simmons School of Education and Human Development and Cox School of Business.Â
Prior to joining SMU, Tryon spent time as a Marketing Intern for Northwestern State University Athletics. She assisted with game-day operations, marketing promotions, fan engagement initiatives, sponsorship activations, and video board production across multiple sports.Â
While at NSU, Tryon worked with the Southland Conference, assisting with the marketing efforts for the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship tournament.Â
Tryon graduated from Northwestern State University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing. During her undergraduate career she was also a member of the NSU Volleyball team.Â
Tryon is originally from Hockley, Texas, and currently resides in Dallas.Â
