Renato joined SMU after spending four years with Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi Athletics, where he served as the Head Student Creative Intern.
During his time with the Islanders, Renato led the student creative team while producing photo and video content for all 16 NCAA Division I athletic programs. His work included game-day coverage, social media content, and postseason events, including Southland Conference Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.
Renato graduated from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi in May 2026 with a double major in Media Production and Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. He is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas.
