Franco is a 2022 graduate of Murray State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Finance while actively developing his passion for sports media. His journey in athletics began behind the camera, blending creative storytelling with a deep understanding of the student-athlete experience.
While at Murray State, Franco served as a videographer intern for both the football and basketball programs. In that role, he captured practice footage, game day content, and player features, while also assisting with post-production editing and social media content delivery — helping enhance the programs' digital presence and recruiting outreach.
Following his time at Murray State, Franco joined the University of Kentucky as the Visual Media Coordinator for UK Football, a role he held for three years. At Kentucky, he led creative video initiatives across multiple platforms, producing high-impact content including hype videos, in-depth player profiles, and cinematic recap pieces. He played a key role in elevating the program’s brand through storytelling that resonated with fans, recruits, and the broader college football community.
Now at SMU, Franco serves as the Assistant Director of Creative Video, where he continues to bring energy and innovation to digital content creation. With a foundation in finance and a creative eye for film, Franco blends strategy with style — capturing the essence of Mustang athletics through a lens that highlights culture, emotion, and excellence.
