Ty Witt began at SMU in July 2025 as a Graduate Assistant in Marketing and Fan Experience.
Before his time at SMU, Witt began as a sports marketing intern with BYU in March of 2023. He became a marketing assistant and spent the last two years leading the marketing and fan experience initiatives for Women’s Basketball, raising attendance by over 20% both seasons. In addition, Witt was the secondary contact for marketing and fan experience efforts of the BYU Football team for two seasons including on-field promotions and working with external entities for the games.
As a marketing assistant, he also aided in the digital and grassroots marketing efforts of BYU softball and baseball. He carried out projects including on-site fan fests in both Phoenix, Arizona, and Dallas, Texas, database organization, and intern onboarding.
Witt graduated from BYU in 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Experience Design and Management along with a Minor in Communications. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sport Management from SMU.
