Lauren Adee came to SMU as Sr. Associate A.D./Executive Affairs in October 2018 and was promoted to Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Revenue Officer in January 2023.

In her role, Adee oversees revenue generation and fan experience for the department providing strategy around ticket sales and operations, premium hospitality, trademark licensing, facility rentals and special events as well as all aspects of marketing and fan engagement. In addition, she serves as primary day-to-day contact for the department’s multimedia rights holder, LEARFIELD, and concessionaire, Aramark. Adee also serves as sport administrator for men’s basketball.
In Adee’s first two years leading and overseeing the direction of the revenue generation, marketing and fan experience, those areas saw revenue increase by 98% ($16.2M overall increase). In 2024-25, she oversaw a team that doubled football and women’s basketball ticket sales year-over-year and attained the first volleyball sellout in program history. These units produced the first-ever consecutive sellouts at Ford Stadium with three in a row, an all-time season attendance high for Ford Stadium and achieved the highest percentage increase in attendance in the Power 4 for college football in 2024.

In her previous role at SMU, her primary duties included strategic planning, Title IX, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, internal controls (Business & Finance, HR, Legal Affairs), student-athlete success, professional development for staff and special projects.

Adee spent four years at Temple, serving in three roles with the most recent being the Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts. She helped the Owls to three consecutive record fundraising years. In that role, she oversaw the strategic direction of major gifts strategy for the Athletics Development office, provided leadership for the major gifts team and managed the Athletics Development budget and three gift officers. In her first year at Temple, she oversaw the annual fund as the Owl Club increased membership by 52% and recorded the highest annual giving year ever, increasing giving by 25%. She also served as an adjunct professor in the School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management, teaching the Fundraising and Development course in the Master of Science in Sports Business program.

Prior to her time at Temple, Adee worked at New Mexico as the Director of Annual Giving. During that year at New Mexico, she increased annual giving to the Lobo Scholarship Fund by $300,000 and recruited an all-time high 4,490 members to the Lobo Club. Before UNM, she served as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions and Assistant Director of Development, respectively, at New Mexico State. She also worked for the Atlanta Hawks and former Atlanta Thrashers as a Group Sales Account Executive.

Adee is a graduate of Temple’s Fox Business School with a degree in marketing, and she is a former men’s basketball manager, serving two years under Hall of Fame Coach John Chaney and two years under Fran Dunphy. She also received her Master of Business Administration degree from New Mexico State. Adee has received a certificate of completion from the prestigiousÂ
Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute, was selected to participate in the TopConnect Leadership Institute in 2021, selected in the LEAD1 Diversity Fellowship Program Class of 2022-23 and is a member of Women Leaders in College Sports and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).
