SMU Concludes Day Two of Fina World Cup

SMU's swimmers had another successful day at the Fina World Cup in College Park, Mary., Thursday, despite having no individual champions.
Freshman Lotta Wanberg finished seventh in the 400 free with a 4:14.21 and sophomore Michael Jacobsson placed 10th in the 200 IM with a 2:06.30.
Former Mustang swimmer Martina Moravcova placed second in the 100 IM (1:02.14), third in the 100 free (55.06) and sixth in the 50 fly (27.61). Katie McClelland earned a second place finish in the 50 breast (32.02) and took fifth in the 200 breast (2:27.31). Lauren Silva took fifth in the 400 IM with a 4:47.66 and Lia Oberstar's 1:02.12 was good enough for fourth place in the 100 back.
The SMU men and women's swimming & diving teams will compete at the Northwestern Invitational this weekend in Evanston, Ill.
The Fina World Cup and will be aired on ESPN2 Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 1:30-2:30 p.m. CT.
