Nov 28 | Men's Basketball
DENVER, COLORADO -- Western Athletic Conference Commissioner Karl Benson announced today that an SMU-recommended two-game suspension for Mustang men's basketball player DeWayne Floyd has been accepted by the conference office and no further action will be taken.
"In this case, the penalty recommended by SMU adequately reflects the seriousness of the incident," said Benson. "I want to commend the SMU administration and basketball staff for addressing the incident as quickly as was possible given the circumstances."
Floyd will not play at New Mexico State on Wednesday night and also miss Saturday's home opener with Tulane.
