Johnson Added to Men's Basketball Staff

Dallas, Texas -- Southern Methodist University head men's basketball coach Mike Dement announced today the addition of Chris Johnson to his staff as Director of Basketball Operations.
"We are very excited that Chris has joined our program," said Dement. "He brings a wealth of experience from a very successful program to SMU. He will be responsible for the growing administrative needs of our program."
Since 1994, Johnson was an assistant coach at Northwest Missouri State University. While there he helped the program win two conference championships (1996, 1998) and assisted on four nationally ranked teams.
Johnson earned both his bachelors and masters degrees from Northwest Missouri State. He was a four-year letterman, three-year starter and two-time team captain during his playing days. He was an academic all-conference selection in both 1991 and 1992.
