Mustangs To Host Oral Roberts

DALLAS (SMU) -- Returning to the court after an eight-day layoff, the SMU Mustangs will look for their fifth win of the season when they face the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14 at Moody Coliseum.
SMU comes in on the heels of a tough loss to Tennessee, while ORU comes to Dallas with a 2-6 mark following a 61-55 loss at Nebraska.
SMU and Oral Roberts have met just five times on the hardwood, with SMU holding a 5-0 series edge.
The two teams met annually between 1991 and 1995 and twice in 1992-93. SMU won all five contests by convincing margins, with the closest call coming at ORU in 1992-93, when SMU escaped with a seven-point, 102-95, win in Tulsa. SMU has won both meetings in Dallas, with the last coming in 1993-94.
Friday will also see SMU continue its annual Winter Coat and Toy Drive, with any fan that brings a new or used coat or an unwrapped toy receiving 2-for-1 admission. The offer is good for all men's and women's games this month, with the toys and coats being distributed to area groups through SMU's Community Outreach.
