DALLAS (SMU) -- Due to injuries, SMU freshman guard Tiara Cruse (Vienna, Va.) and freshman post Keely Cox (Crandall, Texas) will be sidelined indefinitely, as announced by head coach Rhonda Rompola on Tuesday. Cruse has an inflammation of both lower legs while Cox sustained an ACL sprain in her left knee in practice on Monday. Cox will undergo an MRI on Tuesday.
Cruse has seen action in all eight games this season, including two starts. Cruse averaged 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Cox, who received a medical redshirt last season for a foot injury, has played in five games this season for SMU, and averaged 1.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
