DALLAS (SMU) -- After a 13-day break, the SMU women's basketball team gets back into the swing of the season with a game against Alabama on Friday, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Torneo de Cancun Classic in Cancun, Mexico. Friday's game marks the first time the Mustangs have competed in a tournament/game outside the U.S. border. The Mustangs go into the tournament with a 4-4 record while the Crimson Tide (5-3) plays at Jacksonville State Tuesday night before heading off to Cancun. Friday's first game features Maryland (6-3) vs. Eastern Michigan (7-1). On Saturday, the consolation game begins at 5:15 p.m. followed by the championship game at 7:30 p.m. There will be no SMU radio for this weekend's games.
