Mustangs To Host Boise State

DALLAS (SMU) -- After a 10-day holiday break, the SMU Mustangs embark on their Western Athletic Conference schedule as the Boise State Broncos come to Dallas for a 7:35 p.m. showdown on Friday, Dec. 28, in Moody Coliseum.
The contest is the first conference game this season for both schools and is the first-ever WAC game for the Broncos, who joined the WAC this season from the Big West Conference.
SMU and Boise State have never met on the hardwood in SMU?s 85 seasons of hoops.
SMU has had success in WAC openers, however, as the Ponies have won its last two conference openers.
Mustang Head Coach Mike Dement has also had success in conference home openers, going 4-2 in his first six years at the helm with the pair of losses coming at the hands of ranked opponents, No. 9 Utah in 1996-97 and No. 20 TCU in 1998-99.
