Mustangs Fall At ORU

DALLAS (SMU) -- The SMU Mustangs fell, 75-62, to 5-0 host Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Dec. 4, to fall to 2-2 on the young season.
SMU jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, but the lead would be short lived as the Golden Eagles rallied to take a 10-point halftime lead at 36-26.
ORU managed to hold off the Ponies in the second half, even extending their lead to 24 points at 71-47 before SMU closed the gap to 13 for the final margin.
Quinton Ross again led the SMU attack with 20 points, while sophomore Patrick Simpson posted 16 points and six boards.
