DENVER (WAC) - SMU guard Justin Isham has been named the Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for November 17-23.
Isham, a junior from Lancaster, Texas (Lancaster HS), scored a game- and career-high 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting in SMU's 69-59 win at Texas-Pan American on Saturday night. Isham also added five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals. It was his first ever WAC player of the week award.
The other nominations were junior forward Jermaine Blackburn, Boise State; senior forward Jonathan Woods, Fresno State; junior guard Corey Dean, Louisiana Tech; junior guard Kirk Snyder, Nevada; and senior guard Jason Parker, Tulsa.
Up next for SMU is a trip west to battle the San Diego Toreros on Friday night, Nov. 28.
