DALLAS (SMU) - Coming off a tough 78-66 loss to No. 14 Wake Forest on Monday, the SMU Mustangs look to rebound when they host the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Thursday, Dec. 18, at Moody Coliseum.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, the SMU Ticket Office is offering $1 admission to the game and Santa will visit Moody Coliseum prior to the game.
Against the Demon Deacons, SMU fought back from 17-point second-half deficit to cut the lead to as little as four with 1:15 remaining, but their rally came up just short. With just two days between the games, the Ponies will have to move on from the disappointing loss as they look to avenge last season?s shocking 87-65 loss to the Mountaineers.
Thursday?s game will mark just the second meeting between the two schools, with ASU holding the 1-0 series edge. ASU ran away from SMU last season in handing the Ponies an 87-65 loss in Boone, N.C., as the Mountaineers shot the lights out netting 57.4 percent from the field, including 12-of-23 from three-point range.
