Bamba Fall and Dez Willingham Sign With Men's Basketball

DALLAS (SMU) --- Bamba Fall and Dez Willingham have committed to play basketball at SMU beginning in the fall of 2005, announced Mustangs? head coach Jimmy Tubbs.
Fall (7-1, 200), a native of Senegal, plays under head coach Steve Smith at Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. Oak Hill went 38-0 during Fall?s junior season, earning recognition as the top high school team in the nation. He also plays AAU basketball for Dallas based Team Texas under Wes Grandstaff.
?He is 7-1, which gives us length and that is important for any program,? states Tubbs. ?He is a skilled player, and as soon as we are able to get him in the weight room to make him bigger and stronger, we are going to have a very good player.?
Willingham (6-0, 180) is a point guard attending Mountain View JC. He played his high school ball at De Soto and his college freshman season at Kansas State. Several publications listed him as a high national prospect coming out of high school, including No. 75 by Rivals.com and No. 38 by Big Apple Sports.
?He gives us another great point guard,? says Tubbs. ?He will be able to help us immediately. He is a talented and smart player that brings solid leadership to the floor. He and Bryan Hopkins will give us a great backcourt combination. Dez also puts us back to recruiting in Dallas/Fort Worth area. You always want to recruit local kids and he is an important part of that.?
