Ponies Travel To Big Apple For NCAA Championship

The SMU men's swimming & diving team travels to New York City this week to compete in the 2004 NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championship Mar. 25-27. The championship meet is taking place at the Goodwill Games Aquatics Complex in New York.
The Mustangs will have six participants in this year NCAA Championship. Camilo Becerra, Ian Clark, Philip Griffin, Per Nylin and Justin Stephenson will make up the SMU squad in the Big Apple. Competition begins Thursday with preliminary action getting underway at 11:00 a.m. central time. Diving trials will be held at 12:00 p.m and final heats will commence at 6:00 p.m. The schedule will be the same for all three days of competition.
The Mustangs finished 25th at last year's NCAA Championship and have finished in the top 12 nationally 10 of the past 14 years.
