DALLAS (SMU) --- The SMU Volleyball team evened its season record at 1-1 with a 3-0 win over Northern Arizona (0-2) Saturday afternoon in the SMU Invitational at Moody Coliseum. Senior Beth Karasek led the Mustangs with 19 kills and 11 digs and junior Jessica Mihm tallied 37 assists in the victory.

The Mustangs? margin decreased a little each game in the 30-22, 30-26, 30-28 sweep that included a rally from a 26-22 deficit in the final game. In the third game come back, five different players recorded a kill in the final eight points; Karasek, Mihm, Kelly Larkand, Jacky Niederstadt, and Ashley Zener. Zener scored the final point on an assist from Mihm.

The Ponies face Cal Poly (1-1) in their final match of the SMU Invitational later this evening at at 7:30 p.m.
