DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team sits in second place at the 2005 Wolverine Invitational heading into tomorrow's final round at the U-M Golf Course, after carding a two-round total of 603 (292-311) on Saturday. The Mustangs trail the host Wolverines (291+302=593) by 10 shots.
Jennifer Ackerson (71+77=148) led the Ponies in Ann Arbor and sits in fifth place individually. Teammates Laura Cross (72+78=150) and Lacey Jones (73+78=151) are right behind Ackerson in sixth and seventh place respectively, while Kristina Rothengatter (76+78=154) is tied for ninth overall.
Ashley Deatherage (82+84=166) sits alone in 31st overall and Kate Ackerson is tied for 36th (83+87=170).
The 2005 Wolverine Invitational will conclude Sunday with the final 18 holes starting with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
