DALLAS - The SMU women's basketball team fell 73-63 to the Arkansas Razorbacks at Moody Coliseum on Friday. The Ponies had rallied from 12 down to take a 63-61 on Juli Colli's fifth three-pointer with 2:25 to play before Arkansas scored the final dozen to end the game.
Colli kept the Mustangs in the game, scoring 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 5-for-7 from beyond the arc. The Mustangs shot 56.3-percent from three-point range, hitting 9-of-16 attempts. Janielle Dodds was second in scoring with 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.
Katy Cobb led the Ponies with five assists and contributed seven points. Sharee Shepherd led the defensive effort with three steals.
The Mustangs return to action when they host Louisiana-Monroe in the first day of the Hoops for the Cure Classic on Friday Nov. 25 at 7 p.m.
