SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) - Derrick Roberts scored a game-high 20 points to lead SMU to a 78-67 victory over Texas State on Thursday night.
Devon Pearson added 18 points for the Mustangs and shot 3-of-6 from 3-point range. Ike Ofoegbu and Dez Willingham each had 11 points.
C.J. Webster led Texas State with 14 points. Brandon Bush added 13, Chris Langhorne had 12 and JuShay Rockett had 11. Langhorne shot 3-of-4 from 3-point range.
Texas State shot 47 percent from the field and SMU shot 48 percent.
Texas State led 34-33 at halftime.
