Derrick Roberts and Devon Pearson each scored 19 points as the Mustangs had four players reach double digit scoring in a 85-70 victory over Hardin-Simmons Saturday night at Moody Coliseum.
SMU led 44-37 at half and outscored HSU 41-33 to pick up its fourth win of the 2005-06 season. Roberts scored his 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, while Pearson reached his 19 point total by shooting a hot 4-of-7 from beyond the three-point arc.
Sophomore guard Dez Willingham chipped in with 16 points, while Donatas Rackauskas scored 15 and totaled seven boards.
Hardin-Simmons, who fell to 4-3 on the year, was led by Zack Pickelman, who scored 17 points on the evening.
With the win, SMU improves to 4-3 on the year and will next be on the court, Dec. 19, when they host Savannah State at Moody Coliseum. Tickets to the game are available at smumustangs.com or by calling 214-SMU-GAME.
