DALLAS, TX - Roger Staubach, chairman and chief executive officer of The Staubach Company and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback great, will serve as the guest speaker at the inaugural SMU Football Kickoff Luncheon. The luncheon will be held August 17 at the Radisson Hotel Central Dallas - Grand Ballroom. The event is now SOLD OUT as of July 29, 2005!
Staubach won the Heisman Trophy in 1963 while at the United States Naval Academy, then served four years as a Navy officer before joining the Cowboys in 1969. He led Dallas to two Super Bowl titles and was a six-time Pro Bowl performer in his 11-year NFL career. Staubach was named to the Cowboys Ring of Honor in 1983 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985.

Joining Staubach on the Kickoff Luncheon program will be Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky and SMU head coach Phil Bennett. Rich Phillips, the voice of the Mustangs on KTCK 1310 AM, will serve as master of ceremonies.
