SMU QB Jerad Romo started his first career game for the Mustangs.

The two interceptions by Jamey Harper were his second & third of the season and the fifth & sixth of his career. It was his first two-pick game.

The second-quarter rushing touchdown by DeMyron Martin was the first of his career.

The second-quarter receiving touchdown by Martin was also the first of his career.

Bryce Hudman appeared on special teams to become the second true freshman to play in 2005 (Columbus Givens is the other).

Zack Sledge's catches tonight were the first of his career.

Martin's three touchdowns were the most for an SMU player since Chris Cunningham scored three against Rice in 2001.

Martin's 118 yards marked the first 100+yard rushing performance this season and the first since Foy Munlin rushed for 114 against San Jose State in 2004.

Martin had the most rushing yards tonight for a freshman since ShanDerrick Charles ran for 144 yards against Nevada in 2001.

Jamey Harper's two interceptions were the most by an SMU defender since Kevin Garrett also had two against Hawaii in 2002.
