ATHENS, Ga. (SMU) - SMU's Philip Griffin placed fourth in the finals of the men's 1-meter competition on Saturday at the Georgia Diving Invitational And Shootout at Gabrielsen Natatorium. Griffin, a senior, tallied 303.03 points in the finals.

Casey Markham, SMU's only other diver competing, scored 201.45 in the preliminaries and missed the finals.

The event concludes on Sunday with the platform competition.
