ATHENS, Ga. (SMU) - The No. 1-ranked Georgia women's swimming and diving team downed No. 7 SMU 157.5-120.5 at Gabrielsen Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Flavia Rigamonti again paced SMU, winning the 1,000-yard free in 9:52.84 and the 500 free in an NCAA-provisional time of 4:52.61.
Leane Darling won the 100 fly in 56.35 and recorded an NCAA provisional time in the 100 free in 50.89, placing second. Candace Blackman also posted a provisional time of 1:48.96 in the 200 free, finishing second.
Kristin Schild won the three-meter diving event with a tally of 201.55 and Jenny Basel won the 200 IM in 2:04.35. SMU's squad of Blackman, Darling, Laura Pomeroy and Petra Klosova wrapped up the meet by winning the 400 free relay in a provisional-topping time of 3:23.03.
