DALLAS (SMU) --- The SMU Equestrian team improved to 1-1 on the season with a 6-0 home victory against the Delaware State Hornets at the Flower Mound Equestrian Center on Friday. The Mustangs finished with a raw score advantage of 463-313.
Head coach Jenny Passow's team won 255-154 in equitation over fences and 208-159 in the equitation on the flat. In the fences, Kathryn Garvie won 82-74, Lauren O'Neil dominated 85-0, and Kristen Collins scored an 88-80 advantage. In equitation on the flat, Collins opened with a 78-64 win to give SMU a 4-0 lead and seal the meet. Megan Davenport followed with a 66-41 triumph, and O'Neil concluded with a 64-54 victory.
The Mustangs visit Texas A&M in College Station on Sunday.
