Knoxville, Tenn. - After two rounds of the 10th Annual Mercedes-Benz Women's Championship, the SMU women's golf team is in sixth place with a total of 603, shooting a round of 299 Saturday at the Cherokee Country Club (Par 71 - 5932 yards)in Knoxville, Tenn. Leading the 15-team field is Auburn (+20) followed by Georgia (+24).
Still atop of the individual leaderboard is SMU's Lacey Jones who shot a second-round total of 73 for a two-round total of 140 - three strokes ahead of Auburn's Nicole Hage. Jennifer Ackerson moved up to 10th place with a 36-hole total of 148. Her sister, Kate, fired a round of 70 on Saturday and stands in 16th place. Other Mustang finishers include Ashley Deatherage (166 - 76th place) and Sarah Dodson (171 - 80th place).
The Mustangs wrap up the Championship on Sunday with the final 18 holes of competiton.
