Katie Roberts Named C-USA Swimmer of the Week

IRVING, Texas (SMU) - SMU's Katie Roberts is this week's Conference USA Swimmer of the Week. Roberts notched four first place medals and set two personal best times en route to leading SMU to a first-place overall team finish at the Kerr McGee Elite Meet. After competing in four individual events and four relay's, the Mustang finished with a total of 60 points which ranked her ninth in individual rankings.
This will be Roberts first honor of the season and the Mustangs sixth honor.

Katie Roberts, the freestyle specialist competed in the Kerr McGee Elite Meet this past weekend with the rest of the Mustangs as she notched four first place medals and set two personal best times en route to leading SMU to a first-place overall team finish. After competing in four individual events and four relay's, the Mustang finished with a total of 60 points which ranked her ninth in individual rankings. Roberts swam a season best touching in at 9:58.08 in the 100 free for fifth place and also placed fourth in the 200 free with a time of 1:50.68. She touched the wall at 4:51.91 in the 500 free for fourth place and swam a season best time of 16:39.09 for a third place finish in the 1650 free. Roberts swam the third leg of the 800 free relay and the last leg of the 400 free relay which both finished first. She also swam the third leg of the first-place 400 medley relay and the fourth leg of the first-place 200 free.
