Mustangs Notch Top Spots At European Championships

HELSINKI, Finland (SMU) - The Mustangs continued their solid performances today on the third day of competition in the European Short Course Championships.
In the 400 free, former Mustang Flavia Rigamonti remained strong and touched the wall in 15th place with a time of 4:10.47 while Anja Carman powered through for 22nd place with a time of 4:17.86. In the 100 breast, Tamara Sambrailo timed in at 1:11.74 for 31st place.
Martina Moravcova swam a time of 58.76 to advance to the semi-finals of the 100 fly. In the semi's, she bettered her time for third-place and time of 58.03. Moravcova awaits the finals which will be in the afternoon session tomorrow.
Yesterday, Petra Klosova put together two solid performances in the 100 IM allowing her to compete in the finals which were this afternoon. She posted a time of 1:02.52 for a final placing of eighth.
The swimmers will conclude competition tomorrow with a morning and evening session.
