Ponies Fall At Houston, 69-57

The SMU men's basketball team saw their record fall to 11-11 on the year with a 69-57 loss to Houston at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston, Texas Saturday night. The Mustangs return to action Wednesday, Feb. 15 when they host Marshall at Moody Coliseum.

Poor shooting caused problems for the Mustangs all night as SMU finished the night 24-64 (37.5%) from the floor and just 1-12 (8.3%) from the three-point arc. Derrick Roberts led the Mustangs with 17 points, while Bryan Hopkins and Devon Pearson scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for SMU. Center Bamba Fall continued his shot blocking prowess, swatting two attempted Cougar shots on the night.

Ramon Dyer led Houston with 25 points. Houston improved to 16-6 on the year with the win.
