Omaha, Neb. - The SMU women's rowing team placed fourth in the Midwest Intercollegiate Rowing Championships Saturday with 353 points. Host Creighton won the team title in a field of seven squads with 393 points. Drake took second with 362 points followed by Tulsa with 360 points.

SMU entered two varsity-eight boats with one boat taking first place (6:12.5) while the other placed third (6:37) in a separate race. In the varsity four A, SMU finished in fourth with a time of 7:10.25 and fourth in the varsity four B (7:38.81). In the novice four A race, the Mustangs placed fifth with a time of 8:15.58. SMU took second in the varsity pair with a time of 7:47.96.

The NCAA South Central Regionals on May 13 and 14 are up next for SMU.
