RALEIGH, N.C. (SMU) - After having to cancel a head-to-head match-up against Kansas earlier this season due to bad weather, the Mustang rowers travel to North Carolina to participate in the Lake Wheeler Invitational. The Mustangs, along with seven other crews, faced the bad weather conditions and rowed this morning.

In the first race, SMU finished 3rd in Heat A of the Varsity 8+ while placing 4th in Heat A of the Second Varsity 8+. In the Varsity 8+ Petite Final, the Mustangs rowed for a 1st-place finish with a time of 7:01.7.

The Mustangs head to Oak Ridge, Tenn. on April 14-15 to row in the SIRA Regatta.
