COLLEGE STATION (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team sits in 16th place following the second round of the NCAA Central Regional at the par-72 Traditions Golf Club. SMU carded a 319 over the second 18 and sits at 635, 15 strokes out of eighth place. The top eight teams from the Regional will advance to the championships finals, May 23-26 at the Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.

SMU continues to be led by Jennifer Ackerson, who is tied for 35th at 155 following a second-round 6-over 78. Laura Cross (79-80) and Lacey Jones (81-78) sit tied for 60th at 159. Kate Ackerson is in 68th at 162 after a second-round 83. Kristina Rothengatter's second-round 85 saw the junior slip to 88th at 168.
