UCF jumped out to the lead in game two but SMU rallied to tie the score at 15 and then took over the lead. The Mustangs maintained the lead, grabbing the 30-22 win.
SMU saw another slow start in the third game as UCF posted four quick points. There were five early score ties, but the Mustangs continued to separate from UCF. UCF got within one point of the Mustangs before SMU propelled forward for the, 30-22, win. In game four, UCF never let SMU get in control. The Mustangs could not get their momentum started as they fell, 30-16. In game five, SMU posted nine kills with an attack percentage of .412 to topple UCF for the, 15-11, win.
The Mustangs continue C-USA play as they return home for a 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon match against Southern Miss.
