ATHENS, Georgia (SMU) - The Mustang divers concluded competition today at the Georgia Diving Invitational with solid performances in the platform diving event.

In the women's event, Kristin Schild posted a mark of 179.00 for ninth place while Preston Holcombe took a dive for the men's team and gathered a score of 269.20, finished fifth overall.

The No. 8 SMU women's swimming and diving team is hosting No. 6/7 Georgia in its first dual meet of the New Year. The two teams will face off at noon on Sat., Jan. 6. The men's team has the next week off but will jump back into action Jan. 12-13 as they host Florida St., Northwestern and Cal in a Classic meet.
