Men's Basketball On CSTV Three Times In 2007-08

DALLAS (SMU) --- CSTV will carry three SMU men's basketball games during the 2007-08 season. The Mustangs' CSTV slate begins with the Conference USA opener at UTEP on Jan. 9 at 7 p.m., followed by a trip to Tulsa on Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. The Mustangs' home finale will again be nationally televised when defending league champ and NCAA Elite Eight qualifier Memphis visits Moody Coliseum on March 5 at 7 p.m.
"It is always great to have a chance to play in front of a national audience," says head coach Matt Doherty. "It is exciting for our team and our fans when SMU basketball is on the marquee."
Conference USA has more than 40 nationally-televised men's basketball games during the 2007-08 season. Non-conference games against teams from the Big East, Big 12, Pac-10 and SEC combine with great conference duels featuring all 12 member institutions to highlight C-USA's national package on CBS, CSTV, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.
The men's basketball season begins with the inaugural SMU Tip-Off Classic, Nov. 10 and 11, as the Mustangs match up against Southern and Alabama State. All SMU basketball games are broadcast on the Mustangs ISP Radio Network, which includes the flagship KAAM 770 AM in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
