Oneonta, Ala. (SMU) - The SMU women's golf team slipped to fifth during the second round of the 2007 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship at the par-72, 6,161-yard Limestone Springs Golf Club. SMU sits at 617 and is just 10 strokes back of leading Memphis (607).

Individually, Kate Ackerson is in third at 73-75-148 and sister Jennifer Ackerson is sixth at 77-75-152. Kristina Rothengatter managed a 78 on Tuesday to stand tied for 21st at 152. Ashley Deatherage, who played one of her best rounds of the season in carding a 77 on Monday, slipped to an 84 on Tuesday and is tied for 25th at 161. Sarah Dodson shaved eight strokes off her Monday effort to card an 81 and is 42nd at 170. SMU continues to be without All-C-USA golfers Laura Cross and Lacey Jones.
