NORMAN, Okla. -- The SMU women's golf team stands in third place and junior Lacey Jones is tied for second individually after the first two rounds at the 18-team Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at the par-72, 6,013-yard Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course.

SMU carded rounds of 287 and 286 to rank third in the team standings. Baylor (569) leads the team event by one stroke over Arkansas (570).

Jones, an Idabel, Okla., native, shot 69-68 for a 137 total and is three shots back of Arkansas junior Stacy Lewis, who fired back-to-back 67s (134). Kate Ackerson (72-73) and Kristina Rothengatter (70-75) are tied or 11th at 145, while a returning-to-the-line-up Jennifer Ackerson is tied for 34th at 76-73-149. Sarah Dodson (78-72) rounds out the SMU five-some at 150 and is tied for 42nd.
