Pettigrew Takes Third In 800m At C-USA Championships

HOUSTON (SMU) - SMU's Ilyssa Pettigrew ran a strong race and finished third in the 800m on the final day of the 2008 C-USA Indoor Track & Field Championships inside Yeoman Fieldhouse on Saturday, March 1. Pettigrew crossed the line in 2:10.91 to score for the Mustangs.
In the 60m hurdles, Gayla Cloud qualified for the finals and finished eighth in 8.92 seconds to score as well for SMU.
Coupled with Silje Fjortoft's second-place finish in Friday's 5,000m, Pettigrew, Cloud and the Mustangs totaled 15 points in the meet and finished 11th in the 12-team field.
