Shane Milu Qualifies For Olympic Trials in 100m Free

AUSTIN (SMU)-- Shane Milu earned his second U.S. Olympic trial qualifying time Saturday in Austin at the All-American Long Course Championships, wrapping up a strong weekend for the Mustangs.
Milu swam a 51.15 in the prelims of the 100m free, earning him a trip to Omaha this June.
Mitchell Johnson competed in the 200m breast, finishing in 2:24.54, which was not fast enough to make the cut.
Former Mustang Justin Smith finished third in the 200m fly prelim, swimming a 2:04.41, less than half a second outside the Olympic cut.
"It was a great finale to a great weekend," said head coach Eddie Sinnott. "We had a really strong showing here in Austin. Shane made two Olympic cuts and Brett added another. I'm very proud of our guys for coming out here and doing as well as they did."
