ANN ARBOR, Mich. (SMU) - SMU's Kate Ackerson and Sarah Dodson each claimed top-10 finishes in the rain-shortened Wolverine Invitational at U-M Golf Course on Sunday, as Ackerson tied for fourth and Dodson tied for ninth. After rain washed out 36 holes on Saturday, the event was shortened to 18 holes. Ackerson shot 2-over 73, while Dodson carded a 4-over 75.

As a team, SMU took eighth, shooting 319. Full results and SMU scores are available here.

SMU was forced to play without several key golfers who were sidelined with injuries.

"The injury bug bit us a little early this year," said Head Coach Todd Selders. "We had a lot of new faces out there and I was proud of them for fighting through the bad weather. Hopefully, we'll be healthy for the Wisconsin tournament. This wasn't where we wanted to finish, but we'll continue to improve."
