Verona, Wisc. (SMU) - SMU senior Kate Ackerson carded a final-round 74 and finished tied for fifth at the Badger Invitational at University Ridge Golf Course on Sunday. Ackerson's three-round total of 220 was just five shots back of medalist Jessie Gerry of Wisconsin.

As a team, SMU shot 961 to finish 11th. Cal won the event at 889.
