Women's Swimming And Diving Hosts North Texas

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's swimming and diving team will take on North Texas Friday night in its first dual meet of the season in Joe Perkins Natatorium.
The Mustangs will be competing in their third meet of the season, beating North Texas and TCU in the Mean Green Relays on Oct. 9 and finishing fourth in the SMU Classic on Oct. 24.
SMU was led by senior Justine Clark, junior Elzanne Werth and sophomore Therese Svendsen, who each led their relay team to four wins at the Mean Green Relays earlier this season.
North Texas enters the meet 2-2 in dual meets with wins over Tulane and New Orleans and losses to Denver and Utah.
The Mustangs won nine of the 16 events at North Texas last year in the four-team dual event, beating North Texas 225-75. This year the Mustangs and the Mean Green will be the only two teams in the pool, going head-to-head.
The meet will begin at 6 p.m. Friday night in Perkins Natatorium on the campus of SMU.
