WACO (SMU) - SMU's Kate Ackerson is in first place following two rounds of play at the Baylor Spring Invitational at Twin Rivers Golf Club. Ackerson carded a two-round total of 148 (74-74) and will take a one-stroke lead into the final round.

As a team, SMU stands eighth in the 14-team field at 624. The Mustangs also got strong day-one performances from Jennifer Hooper (75-80-155) and Sarah Dodson (74-82-156), who stand in 18th and 19th, respectively.
