Cedar Hill, Texas (SMU) - The SMU JV men's golf team won the Northwood Spring Invite on Tuesday, March 3, at the par 72, 7,042-yard Thorntree Country Club, carding a team total of 603 to easily defeat host Northwood by 13 strokes. Leading the Mustangs was Marc Sambol (73-76-149), who took medalist honors with a two-stroke victory over Benjamin Belfield (151) of Northwood.

All five SMU golfers finished in the top eight of the two-day event, with Aaron Stewart (79-73-152) and Frank Wrenn (79-73-152) tying for third, Matt Schovee (75-79-154) tying for sixth and Nic Soglanich (75-80-155) taking eighth.
