DALLAS (SMU) --- The SMU equestrian squad got points from Melissa Kowalchik, Claire Wenholz, and Mallory Olson, but fell 7-3 to No. 4 Auburn at the Park Lane Equestrian Center on Sunday. The Mustangs were close throughout and fell just 16 points short (715-699) in total raw score. The Ponies are now 5-8 on the season and 4-6 against ranked foes.

The Mustangs host No. 9 Fresno State on March 21. The regular season finale is at No. 1 Baylor on April 4. The NCAA Championships are April 15-18 in Waco.
